Drymos Energy Park

A modular RES project of enormous scale with incomparable potential for its evolution into the first state-of-the-art RES – Storage – SYTHIA – Biomethane – Hydrogen Energy Center in the Balkans:

constructed, with a 110 MVA power transformer and with the future possibility of adding another Transformer.

ENERGY STORAGE

ENERGIAKI DRYMOU has obtained – in the name of a connected company – a 30 MW Storage License (RAE) to be established on a privately-owned plot of land adjacent to the constructed 20/150kV Substation.

COMMUNICATION NETWORK

Private fiber optic network and a sufficient number of antennas to fully cover the reference area at high speeds to serve the entire Energy Park. The central point of departure of the optical fibers is the lifting station, where the tailor-made SCADA is located.

CHP

The area where the PVs have been constructed is intercrossed by the natural gas pipeline of DESFA with the Drymos M/R (decrease from high to medium pressure), which allows the development of CHP units, given the certainty of competitive interconnection to the gas network and electrical interconnection to the medium voltage networks and to the 20/150kV Drymos Substation of ENERGIAKI DRYMOU.

BIOMETHANE

The existence of the M/R and the natural gas pipeline within the area guarantees the possibility of biomethane injection from respective biomethane units that will be developed for this purpose in the area.

Future and Immediate Possibilities

Based on the existing capacity, the existence of gas pipelines, but also the proximity of Thessaloniki (port, Egnatia motorway, northern interconnections), future or already existing RES can be utilized for the production of green hydrogen in the area
